We spoke to Instagram follower @rockzonestudio.mx about his audio equipment, record collection and his favourite album
When did you start collecting records?
I’m a music lover, guitar player, DJ, Dentist and Headbanger. I have been collecting music since I was 8, all formats, starting with vinyl (30 years ago), cassettes, CDs, concert DVDs and Blu-ray came later. Seven years ago I started to get collectible figures of musicians and vinyl records again.
My collection has more than 3000 pieces; most of them are limited edition.
What is your favourite record?
My all time influences are Pink Floyd “The Dark Side of the Moon”, Theatre of Tragedy “Aégis”, Led Zeppelin “Led Zeppelin IV”, Guns N' Roses “Appetite for Destruction”, Iron Maiden “Maiden England '88”, Opeth “Watershed”, Soen “Lotus”, Tool “Lateralus”, Insomnium “Shadows of the Dying Sun”, Heaven Shall Burn “Veto” just to name a few.
Who is your favourite artist/band?
I would like to say that there are several, but Pink Floyd, as they have the biggest influence on me. I usually listen to Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Progressive Rock, Doom Metal, Gothic Metal, Blues, Jazz, Electronic music, a little beat pop and lately Black Metal, Hard Core and Stoner Rock.
What is your favourite music based magazine?
I do not have a favourite, as most of the information I get is from social networking sites or music blogs.
